REQUIREMENTS FOR RENEWAL OF EXPIRED PASSPORT: It is necessary to come personally to the Consulate, since the application must be signed in the presence of the Officer in charge of Passports. Please bring the following documents: - Expired passport - Panamanian I.D. document (Cedula) - Three photos (35 mm X 45 mm) or (1 3/8 X 1 3/4 in.) color, on white background (frontal view). - Two copies of Birth Certificate (new format - issued later than 1990) - Proof of blood type (such as medical certificate or official picture I.D.) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Panamanians by naturalization: Original birth certificate from country of origin. Minors: Authorization letter from one of the parents or the legal guardian. Lost or stolen Passport: Following verification of Panamanian citizenship, the Consulate will provide a letter requesting the Police Department to issue a Police Report including the number of the missing passport.
